Hypoxia Molecular Characterization in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Identifies One Risk Signature and Two Nomograms for Clinical Management

چکیده

Hypoxia is a universal feature in the tumor microenvironment (TME). Nonetheless, heterogeneous hypoxia patterns of TME have still not been elucidated hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Using consensus clustering algorithm and public datasets, we identified subtypes. We also revealed specific biological clinical characteristics via bioinformatic methods. The principal component analysis was employed to develop hypoxia-associated risk score (HARS). two subtypes: low pattern (C1) high (C2). C1 less sensitive immunotherapy compared C2, consistent with lack immune cells checkpoints (ICPs) C1, whereas C2 opposite. displayed worse prognosis higher sensitivity obatoclax relative while more sorafenib. subtypes demonstrated subtype-specific genomic variations including mutation, copy number alteration, methylation. Moreover, developed validated signature: HARS, which had excellent performance for predicting immunotherapy. distinct HCC, enhanced understanding pattern. signature promising biomarker

Molecular signature of early hepatocellular carcinoma.

The advances in imaging techniques and establishment of screening and surveillance protocols for high-risk populations for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have led to the detection of small hepatic nodules in patients with chronic liver diseases, but in general the prognosis for HCC remains poor. Early detection of HCC or detection of small/early HCC followed by appropriate treatment is the key ...

Prognostic molecular markers in hepatocellular carcinoma (Review article

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the 5th commonest malignancy worldwide and is the third most common cause of cancer-related death. The prevalence is different in the world. The ability to predict patients at higher risk of recurrence and with a poor prognosis would help to guide surgical and chemotherapeutic treatment according to individual risk. As understanding of hepatocarcinogenesi...

Molecular and proteomic insight into Notch1 characterization in hepatocellular carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) ranks fifth in frequency worldwide amongst all human cancers causing one million deaths annually. Despite many promising treatment options, long-term prognosis remains dismal for the majority of patients who develop recurrence or present with advanced disease. Notch signaling is an evolutionarily conserved pathway crucial for the development and homeostasis of man...
